An end-of-life vehicle is a hazardous item, not just a lump of steel. Ours are de-polluted on an Environment Agency compliant site before anything is processed — so you can be sure it has been done properly.
Drive in, or we’ll collect
If the vehicle still moves, bring it to the yard during opening hours. If it doesn’t, tell us where it is and how the access looks and we will arrange collection across Cheshire, North Staffordshire and North Shropshire.
Paperwork and identification
Bring the V5C if you have it, plus photo ID and proof of address. Scrap metal legislation requires us to record the seller of every vehicle and load, and payment cannot be made in cash. We notify the DVLA on your behalf and issue your Certificate of Destruction.

- Do I get a Certificate of Destruction?
- Yes. Once your vehicle has been de-polluted and destroyed we notify the DVLA and issue a Certificate of Destruction, which confirms you are no longer responsible for the vehicle.
- What do I need to bring when I scrap a car?
- Bring the V5C registration document if you have it, along with photo ID and proof of address. We are required to record who we buy vehicles and metal from, and we cannot pay in cash.
- Can you collect a car that doesn't run?
- Yes. We collect non-runners and accident-damaged vehicles across Cheshire, North Staffordshire and North Shropshire. Tell us where it is and whether it can be winched or needs lifting.
- What happens to the vehicle after that?
- It is de-polluted first: fuel, oils, brake fluid, coolant and the battery are removed, along with the catalytic converter and tyres. The shell is then processed for its steel and non-ferrous content.
