Grade by grade
Metal is paid by grade, not just by weight. Sorting your load before you arrive almost always earns you more — and if you’re unsure what an alloy is, our metal analysing facility will tell us for certain.
Braziery copper
Copper with brass or solder fittings attached, graded separately from clean copper.
Brass
Fittings, valves, taps, ornaments and turnings.
Gun metal
Bearings, bushes, pump bodies and marine fittings.
Radiators
Copper and aluminium car radiators, plus cast iron household radiators.
Stainless steel
Sheet, tube, tanks, catering equipment and offcuts — graded on analysis.
Steel & galvanised

Electrical cable
Armoured, mains, data and flex — processed on site so you are paid for the copper content.

Dismantling
As well as buying scrap we dismantle it where it stands: railway rolling stock including passenger carriages, locomotives and goods wagons; steel-framed buildings; and heavy engineering machinery. Dismantling is carried out with our mobile 40-tonne Euromech shear, which brings a 500-tonne cutting force to your site, and we work regularly for the major railway companies, the engineering industry and the farming community.
